Recovery from a Non-Surgical Facelift

Your facial appearance is often one of the first things people notice about you. One of the most common reasons people get a facelift is to improve their aging appearance and give the face a tighter, thinner look.

With recent modern developments in cosmetic surgery, there are now lots of options available that allow you to regain your youthful glow without going under the knife. We will discuss non-surgical facelifts, the recovery process, and how to care for your skin after the procedure.

What is a Non-Surgical Facelift?

A non-surgical facelift is a procedure where the patient’s face is rejuvenated without incisions or stitches. Instead of a surgical procedure, there are a few different ways that you can lift the face. Two of the most common non-surgical facelift techniques are using fillers or tightening the skin with laser resurfacing.

Fillers & Botox

Dermal fillers and neuromodulators like Botox or Dysport can be used in combination to smooth fine lines and wrinkles and plump up the skin. At Nouveau Health & Wellness, we offer hyaluronic acid fillers from Restylane and Juvederm. Different types of products are designed for different areas of the face to redefine the cheeks and jawline and improve the appearance of mild skin laxity and volume loss. Botox and Dysport target dynamic wrinkles on the forehead, around the eyes, and various areas of the face.

Fotona 4D Facelift

Our Fotona 4D facelift treatment uses four different types of laser wavelengths to rejuvenate all aspects of your skin from the inside out. The combined lasers tighten the interior and exterior of the lowe face while targeting deep imperfections and surface blemishes. Fotona 4D improves everything from enlarged pores to loose skin and nasolabial folds around the mouth.

About Non-Surgical Facelift Recovery

Generally, because there are no incisions or stitches, there is minimal discomfort associated with this treatment. No matter which method you choose, you should not have to take any time off work or worry about downtime. The only things you should be careful of in the first few days are direct sun exposure and strenuous exercise.

What to Do After a Non-Surgical Facelift

Aftercare involves treating your face gently at home to ensure that the area heals quickly. Several facial products and lotions are available. Please consult your doctor before using them, as they could interfere with healing or cause a skin reaction. Take a gentle shower and be very careful not to rub or scrub your face too hard. Talk with your doctor about using strong sunscreen on your face while you heal.

What Not to Do After a Non-Surgical Facelift

Do not rub or scrub the face too hard. Avoid any exfoliating creams. Stay out of the sun for a few days since ultraviolet radiation can damage skin cells and interfere with healing. Try not to force movements, including smiling, laughing, and frowning. This can hinder the effectiveness of the procedure and may require additional treatment.
