What is THOR LX2?

The THOR LX2 is also known as low-level laser therapy (LLLT) or Photobiomodulation. This low-intensity light therapy is a non-thermal laser treatment that directly targets musculoskeletal pain. The LX2 also increases ATP, promotes tissue repair, reduces inflammation, and induces analgesia in a variety of body areas. 

Compared to the NovoTHOR whole body pod, the THOR LX2 is a handheld device. It is a targeted cold laser treatment whereas the NovoTHOR is a red and near-infrared light treatment focusing on the whole body inside and out.  

The LX2 spot treatment unit uses the same dosage of light as the NovoTHOR bed, but since the light is more concentrated, it can penetrate deeper into the body. 

THOR LX2 is intended to treat a variety of concerns and disease states such as:

THOR LX2 Treatment Times

Treatment times range between 30 to 60 seconds per point, adding up to 30 mins per session.

How Many THOR LX2 Treatments You May Need

There are specific research-based protocols that set the number of treatments and frequencies ranging anywhere
from 2-3x a week up to 4-6 weeks. To improve chronic pain and degenerate conditions, patients may
need at least 10 sessions.

Who Can & Cannot Receive THOR LX2 Treatment

While THOR LX2 is an excellent option for many, there are certain groups of people whom THOR LX2 is not recommended for. Contraindications include those with active carcinoma, epilepsy, and pregnancy
(treatment can’t be used over a pregnant uterus).
